Our story

We are more reachable than we have ever been, and most of us, when you ask honestly, feel further away.

That's the observation this whole thing is built on. Connected au makes The Offline Box: a box you do, not just open.

What we make

Once a month, a box of real things lands at your door. A book chosen for you. Seeds to plant. A letter to write. A magazine worth sitting down with, with a letter from us inside. Something for your hands.

Think of it as a month of small permissions: to read, to make, to be unreachable for an hour, to leave the dishes a bit longer than usual.

Every box is packed by hand. Every book, every packet of seeds, placed in by actual human hands, ours. That's why each month is capped. It isn't a marketing line, it's genuinely all we can pack.

We are not anti-phone. The phone is the reason some of us know what our grandmother's voice sounds like at eighty-seven. The thing we're quietly against is being findable as a default.

We're building this thing with you, not at you.

What members have built

Members are co-writing a book. A serialized manuscript arrives in the box each month, and the community votes on where the story goes next.

The Letterbox Project matches members as pen pals. Real letters, posted monthly, to someone who has chosen to write back.

The Offline Passport keeps a year of it. Not a planner. Not a tracker. Just proof of the things you did that weren't online.

The idea, in one line

A box meant to land on your kitchen bench like a small unbothered weekend.

About the name

Yes, we know: a company called Connected.

Connected au is a company that mostly posts people reasons to be unreachable. We noticed the irony. We quite like it. Online when you want it. Offline by design.

If that sounds like your kind of thing,

the box is here.
